As the rain pours...

Singapore rarely lets me miss Mumbai. Humidity, sunshine and rain. As I sit by this evening enjoying the wonderful rains and strong breeze, I reminisce about the months that have passed...

New friends, new home. Parties and networking sessions galore. Learnt the importance of follow-up emails. Job hunting. Business school jargon. Cooking has become a passion. Aloo tamatar and poha, my specialities. Trips to Bali, HK and Macau. Planning Vietnam next. Festivals, dance, organizing. Competitions and team work. Tapping away on my keyboard during lectures – it’s possibly the best time to catch up with friends. Discussion topic during lunch – Deck or Terrace. Repeats in the night – DDP, Rangoli or are we cooking tonight? Anybody heading to canteen – please bring tea. From the old business school to the new, it’s been the best of both. Fast-paced life. Days when we slept 3 hours on an average. But we survived. None of these moments were possible without N and K. I wish she was not going back next semester...

The rain gets heavier and the dark clouds fill up the sky. I’m living some of the most beautiful moments of my life.

Wake me up when July ends

Rainy cloudy mornings. Tucked away in my blanket. A hot cuppa. Gym. Emails and chatting. Shopping lists and tiresome packing. Family get-togethers. Poker sessions. Endless ‘discussions’ with brother. Evenings at Costa. Hot chocolate with skimmed milk please. Jokes and gossip. Laughing like a bunch of school girls. Getting drenched every day. Breezy dark evenings. Form filling. Form submissions. New friends. Messages. Coordination. Trying to be organized. Documents and lists. Movies. Reruns on TV. Wait for weekends. Treats and best wishes. Memorable gifts. Hate the good-byes. Tears and love. Thirty unforgettable days.

Squeeze my tears out

Have been reading a lot of Calvin and Hobbes lately.. this one just has no words to describe it

Little nuisances..!!

Ever wondered how ‘Ok’, ‘Hmmm’, ‘Thanks’ could be an awful pain in the neck? Picture this -
X: I missed you
Y: Hmmm
X: I love you
Y: Ok, Thanks!

...Of old memories and new beginnings

Of coffee machines and conversations
Of deadlines and morning calls
Of vision, recognition and applause
Of scrabble and inseparable friends
Of talking, screaming and singing
Of thunderstorms and blueberry cheesecake
Of the road I chose ahead
Of twisted feelings
Of exciting new relationships and adventures
Of hope, dreams and belief
Of old memories and new beginnings
